No meeting this week, but The Bulletin has some interesting contributions from our members.
Others are still pondering what to write about “What’s new in my Vocation” ;-)
Changeover Dinner
Our Changeover Dinner is
being held on Tuesday 4th June at Kooyong.
Have you answered Terry Kitchen’s invitation yet?
We do hope you can join us to acknowledge the contribution of President Doug over the past year, and to welcome new President Dorothy Gilmour. (We know you won’t forget to dress comfortable and classy)
Book your tickets online at https://www.trybooking.com/CQYRC
Do you like the pic on the right? I did a Google for “Rotary Changeover”, and that’s what I found - Ed.
Quantum Computers
Perhaps inspired by Peter England’s talk last week, Noel Halford has continued the Vocational Service series with an informative article on Quantum Computers.
(Vocational Service calls on every Rotarian to work with integrity and contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society )
Even if YOU have yet to put digit to keyboard and tell us “What’s New in my Vocation”, the Jesters have added their own perspective on computer technology. There’s always somebody worse at it than yourself: when in trouble, contact the Customer Care Department.
There’s more to this computer stuff than we ever expected.
The Salvo Hawks
Big Mac keeps us informed: Next Salvo Hawks Game Round 4 Footy-Wednesday 22nd May 2024 -Rathmines Road Reserve
Please contact him if you can assist.
YOUTH SERVICE
May, of course is Rotary’s Youth Service Month, and in today’s Bulletin, Rashi Kapoor presents a thought-provoking article on “The Challenges Confronting Australian Youth”.
As a bonus, we have an April Update from Exchange Student Evie Flynn: what a star performer she is turning out to be!
Rotary Fanfare
DG Ron Payne writes: An innovative outcome of our conference was the commissioning of our Rotary Fanfare. We have created a video celebrating the Conference and you too can use the music whenever you feel the need to brighten up your program and capture the attention of your audience. Please feel free to use this wherever and whenever you feel appropriate. Contact Sandi Fulcher if you would like a copy of the music.
