The player wearing an orange vest was not expected to jump in the air for the ball, but merely had to touch it to get a free kick. As it appeared, this player was the best player on the ground and rolled many of the ladies along the turf in firm collisions!
Our young guest from Year 12 Scotch College, Rory Vial spoke to our last meeting of his project which entails collecting sporting equipment and sending it via DIK to young disadvantaged people in Timor Leste. We shall discuss the request for $1,000 by Rory to help with shipping and the purchasing of some new nets etc. for these young people.
Cheryl Walker, Boroondara Librarian shared many tips for accessing all types of reading, media, news, films with us and then picked the winner of our first “Who Am I?” Of course, it was Doug McLean and the winner of the Fruit Cake was Henry Drury!
