Rotary Club of Hawthorn Visit to the Pharaohs Exhibition 23rd July

I am so pleased we have twenty members, partners and friends attending our event on 23rd July.

As previously advised this exhibition will feature a comprehensive collection of priceless Egyptian antiquities lent to the NGV by the British Museum

The exhibition will include:

·      A granodiorite statue of possibly King Amenhotep 111

·      A statue of a lion erected by Pharaoh Amenhotop 111 reinscribed by Tutankhamun

·      A limestone Relief showing King Menuhotop11 wearing a red crown

·      A monumental limestone statue of Ramses11 as a high priest

·      Fascinating elaborate jewellery pieces.

This is an outstanding exhibition tracing the art of ancient Egypt for a period spanning 3000 years to the Roman conquest.

I will advise details of where we will be having a light lunch following our visit on Southbank

Please make sure you register through Try bookings using the link below no later than 7th
