It was a pleasure to have Nick Pane as our guest speaker.

Nick’s parents came from Sorrento in Italy in 1957, and Nick was born soon after in Camberwell. He and his wife Angela have three sons and a daughter.

After leaving school in 1973, he worked for Brambles, mainly on Bass Strait shipping. His life changed in 2000 when he saw Simon O’Donoghue’s advertisment for “Ethics in Real Estate”, and following interviews and training he worked in this industry until 2016.

He joined the Rotary Club of Camberwell in 2000, was President in 2016-17, and is currently Assistant District Governor for the Riverside cluster of clubs.

Now in retirement, Nick is a keen wine-maker and sausage producer: his wines have won several awards. His sporting activities include cycling and swimming, even competing in the Pier-to-Pub event.
Nick presented us with a bottle of wine to raffle (instead of the usual sergeant’s session).  David Corrigan was the lucky winner.
Thanks Nick for an interesting and entertaining talk: we look forward for a great year in Rotary with your assistance as AG.
