David Pisterman adds some thoughts and photos from the District 9800 Conference: 

Overall it was a well presented and organised event with almost 400 participants attending, with mild warm weather making a mockery of all the heavy winter wardrobe we had packed.....lol!  

Mark Balla, "The Toilet Warrior" was a very interesting presenter and his story as to how he became interested in the project to provide toilets in rural schools on India, is truly remarkable. The photo with PM Narendra Modi promising the 100 Million toilets in India project during his first term in office, is quite mind blowing.

Richard Blakeman receiving the Meritorious award (I per District per year) is again another well deserved recognition for our Daughter Club’s achievements over the years.

Jeremy Forbes, who started HALT in 2013 when a tradie from Castlemaine committed suicide: Jeremy made a commitment to do something about it. He was a powerful and energetic presenter who told his story very well, and I was pleased to see him still involved in the audience long after his presentation was done, and to see what other Rotary projects and information he  became aware of.  A dinkum good bloke.
