Annual Service to Seniors Awards
Rotary Hawthorn recognises the contribution of those who provide an outstanding service in a voluntary capacity to older members of our Boroondara community, with its Annual Service to Seniors Awards.
Each year there is a call for nominations where Rotarians and members of the public are able to nominate someone that they know, who is making a difference.
The Nominee may be, but need not necessarily be, a Rotarian. The service we are seeking to acclaim can be anyone, Rotarian or non-Rotarian, who fits the criteria below:
- The Nominee needs to be an adult living and/or working in Boroondara
- Show commitment to making a difference for a senior by using empathy, respect, knowledge, training and experience.
- Be a role model for volunteers working with seniors.
- The award will be presented at a Rotary Hawthorn lunch meeting, the awardee must be able to attend the meeting in order to recieve their award and share their story.
