MLC Mae Tao Clinic
Our meeting was pleased to hear of the initiatives taken by MLC students who are raising funds for the Mae Tao Clinic in Thailand. The clinic provides a range of essential medical services to the refugees from Myanmar who are currently in refugee camps in Thailand but have no access to the Thai Health system.
Our student speakers Eromi Dissanayake and Penelope Waymark were delighted to learn of a generous contribution of $1,000 from PP David Corrigan that has kick started the project.
This initiative complements our support in raising funds for the Karen people currently in the refugee camps. See our Trip to Nhill.

Special thanks were made to Anne Scott for her commitment to the Rochester community.
The fact that 800 people are still living in caravans waiting for their homes to be rebuilt demonstrates the extent of the problem confronting the residents of Rochester.
