Reports are that Joe Devereux is in Cabrini Rehab in Glenhuntly Road as talkative as ever and should be back home in a week or two.
Gordon Cheyne rang Joe recently: "I am in Cabrini rehab with “a bit of colitis” - a souvenir of days in the jungle in 1945."
Joe says all his mates with the same problem are long gone, and he puts his survival down to a regular glass of red wine: the best medicine of all!
