I am very pleased to report that the Rotary Club of Hawthorn is sponsoring an applicant for this scholarship to District.
The student is Scott Bolton and our first contact with him was in January this year.
Since then we have been in touch regularly and after reviewing all the criteria of the Foundation for this scholarship, it was considered that Scott came within the eligibility requirements and we invited him to make formal application
His application and accompanying essay was most impressive and following that we have a "Zoom" international hook up for an interview
Henry Drury and Ian Bentley have been assisting and joined in the conference. We were all most impressed.
Scott is seeking the scholarship to enable to undertake a Masters of Education( School Leadership) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
His goal is to work in the Australian public education school system with the aim to become a Principal to advance educationally disadvantaged public schools and in the longer term to drive reforms and new initiatives
Scott has his District interview this week and we wish him all the best
