Just back from an interesting tour of Sackville Grange, your Editor has gathered some scuttlebutt for your amusement.

Down Memory Lane

Noel McInnes must have been leafing through old photographs, as he sent us this amazing shot.

Noel comments:

David PISTERMAN was a great Club Secretary in my year as President because he was incredibly flexible.”

Check out the photo: David is even wearing his feet back-to-front. Tricky stuff!

Rotary Fellowships

In today’s Bulletin we have an article on Rotary Fellowships: David McNamara can tell you about these, as he is a member of the International Fellowship of Cricketing Rotarians.

Following the RI Convention, David received this note of thanks from their President, Derrick Marsden:

Hi Dave,

On behalf of IFCR we would like to thank you for your assistance in the manning of the IFCR Booth at Convention 2023.

We feel that we had a wonderful response at our booth and made many contacts both here in Australia and Overseas.

Thank you for your good work.

Our photo shows Big Mac with some friends.

Nice one, Murray!

On Sunday night, at the Rotary Gala Celebration Dinner in the stunning Plaza Ballroom,  PDG Murray Verso received  a Citation for Meritorious Service from RI President Jennifer Jones for his work with the Rotary  Foundation. Murray thanked to all who have worked with him and made the award possible.

Mailing List

We have had some members somehow dropping off the ClubRunner mailing list, and we are struggling to ensure all members receive the Bulletin.

However if you don’t receive this issue, please let us know - Ed.

 Ta-ta for now

That’s it for today.

But wait! - Hasn’t President Andrew excelled himself? Stricken with the dreaded Wu-Flu, and unable to join us at Sackville Grange, he sent his weekly “President’s Post” and an article on the Four-Way Test as if all was well with the world.

Get well quickly, President Andrew: I saved a “Show-bag” from Sackville Grange, just for you.

TTFN,
