DISTRICT ASSEMBLEY or CLUB LEADERS LEARNING SEMINAR
A very small group of Hawthorn Rotarians made the effort to attend Sunday morning’s District Assembly. I was joined by Min Bell and Andrew Crockett and found the 3.5 hours of presentations well worthwhile.
We heard the vision from our RI President Elect Olayinka Hakeem Babalola, DGE Graeme Hope, PRI Director Jessie Harman’s “10 Tips for Delivering an Exceptional Member Experience” along with breakout rooms delivering information for Directors of Community Service, International Service, Foundation, Youth & Vocation and President Elects.
One very interesting point was made that we need to connect with our Next Generation, eg: Rotaract/Satellite/EClubs. Also, we spend a lot of time trying to make members fit our clubs, now it is the time to make our clubs fit our members! It was terrific meeting up with Rotarian friends from other Clubs too.
