TV Exposure at Sunrise BBQ Activity

When Channel Seven invited Hawthorn Rotary Club President Ngaire Cannon to run a barbecue for their “Sunrise” program, she was flabbergasted to learn the program was in just three days time. Even worse, the barbecue had to start at 5.00 a.m! Ngaire quickly got her team together to locate a large portable barbecue, and on Friday, 6th July they cooked and served nearly 2000 sausages, tea and coffee, and lovely Allens Chocolate Cake. Spectators and production team alike enjoyed the welcome breakfast. Too busy to see the interview with Molly Meldrum, the team were rewarded with a cameo TV appearance, as Nuala read out the Weather Forecast. There is a link to the full interview.
