President Charlotte and Peter England invited us all to the first Club fellowship function for 2010. This was advertised to be a light luncheon with refreshments, 12.30 – 2.30 at 41 Turnberry Grove, Moonah Links their beautifully appointed and sited country seat.

The invitation should have read 12.30 – 4.00 as the 20 of us who gathered were enjoying a wonderful interactive and relaxing time and there was no seeming need to wind it all up.

The light luncheon with Coronation Chicken, Rotary Ham, salads, fluffy white rolls and appropriate wines was mopped up with enthusiasm. Not to mention the pavlova mounded with cream, strawberries and banana to round it off.

The above description is not only a reminder of how enjoyable the luncheon was but also to make all those who did not attend, wish they had!
A huge vote of thanks to our hosts, Charlotte and Peter and another huge thank you to Ngaire for the organisation of the event and to Ralph, ever present pouring drinks at the bar table.
On a more serious note: Ngaire is the Club Fellowship Director and seriously talented as she is in sorting these events she needs help. We, all of us Club members should be proactive with ideas and in turn, be there when events are organised.
And, being there is most important as there is much more to our Club than just Tuesday lunch.

Having said that, last Tuesday afternoon was a great curtain raiser to the year and surely there will be more of them.
