What do Rotarians do?

Rotarians are individuals who are willing to voluntarily contribute some of their precious time and valuable expertise to make a difference - to help those who need it and to encourage our youth to reach their potential.
Rotary’s international aims are to bring men and women, business and professional leaders together in order to provide humanitarian services.  It encourages the highest ethical standards in all vocations and aims to advance goodwill and peace around the world.

Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues.

Our 35,000+ clubs from more than 200 countries work together to help people in need at a local, national and international level.

Rotarians know that as an individual they can't achieve much in their spare time to help others - but by working as a member of a team with other businessmen and women or retired persons, the effect of their contribution is increased and significant change can be effected. For example, Rotary is eradicating the scourge of polio from this earth by immunising children worldwide. Imagine what can be achieved when people work together, enjoying a wider circle of friends and using their skills to make this world a better place in which to live.
