Thirty members and guests attended today’s Club meeting at which our guest speaker was Kim Ellis, Director of the Australian Antarctic Division.

Kim Ellis, Director of the Australian Antarctic Division was introduced by David Pisterman. He described the history and background of the Division and its projects, before an account of an inspection tour of a large section of the Antarctic Continent.

March - Water and Sanitation Month

Area of Focus: Water and Sanitation Month.

This month also includes the World Rotaract Week from the 7th until 14th of March.

I thought Kim Ellis’s presentation on Antarctica was so interesting today: it evoked thought on how important it is to have everyone from a range of disciplines working as a team, not only within the Australian bases but how effectively all the international bases operate in support of one another in one of the world’s most hostile environments.
