We continue our stories for new members about some of the “older” members, presenting two former members who had a great influence on the club: Ian Warren and the late Charles Morrison.
But this week we tell you about a major project they developed: The Fritsch Holzer Park Project.
In the past our District 9800 has organised public events on World Polio Day 24 October. Such as "Prance around the Park", which was very successful last year, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in particular Victoria’s lockdown, such events are not possible.
But there is an alternative which has grown from a simple idea to encompass Rotary Clubs across Australia and New Zealand.
Everything you thought you knew about bees is wrong. They don’t make honey, or live in hives, or serve their queen. They couldn’t care less about the greater good. And they’re a lousy metaphor for collaboration, strength in numbers, or any of the other misapplications of their apine ways.
