PRESIDENTS NOTE

Rotary Club of Hawthorn’s zoom meeting today, on the 22^ndof September drew over 40 People.

As our Hawthorn Rotary Club remains upbeat, in good health and optimistic in this ever-changing world.

Melbourne Indigenous Transition School

Edward Tudor, Executive Director of the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School was our guest speaker today. He eased his way into his presentation by acknowledging the traditional land owners, and telling us about the derivation of the place-names Toorak, Yarra and Kooyong.

NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE FORUM

Youth Services Director Kevin Rose reported that our nominated student, Tranh Pham of Auburn High School has been selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum.

Two Rotary Stalwarts

We continue our stories for new members about some of the “older” members, two former members who had a great influence on the club: Ian Warren and the late Charles Morrison.
