PRESIDENT'S POST

Twenty-seven members and guests Zoomed into the first Club meeting for 2022.  It was disappointing that we couldn’t meet at Kooyong but the Board felt with Covid so prevalent in the community that we should err on the side of caution and meet by Zoom during February.  
We hope the current wave of infections subsides sufficiently over the next few weeks to enable us to safely resume meeting at Kooyong in March.

Camp Getaway

Geoff Wright introduced our speaker Ken Maxfield, who told us the interesting story about how Camp Getaway came to be. 

Ken Maxfield really is “Mr Camp Getaway”, and he has demonstrated Service above Self for over 20 years: he was “Rotarian of the Year” in 2019.

JEST FOR A LAUGH

You may have read “The Rules: Time-tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right” which is a self-help book by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider,  Jordan Peterson’s “Twelve Rules for Life”, or Amor Towles’ “Rules of Civility”. 

All very engrossing.

However none of these come near “Rules for Women and Rules for Men” by Luke Setzer
