I hope you all enjoyed our last week’s meeting with the outstanding Dr Elaine Saunders. Elaine and her guest Max Pietrushka are both members of Rotary Woodend. Elaine’s scientific, empirical information about our ears and our hearing was fascinating and we learnt we must remember to protect our young people from noise so loud, that it ruins their hearing.
Our seats are very slowly filling with our tardy members leaving it till the last moment to book for themselves and their friends. Please help us get this “show on the road” with more of you inviting your friends and those who love tennis. Bookings close in just 24 days.
A huge thank you to Geoff Wright who for the 10th year organised the terrific Mock Interviews at Auburn High School. Thank you Geoff. I partnered with Peter England and we enjoyed the morning immensely meeting some fascinating, wonderful young people including a young man who wants to fly war planes!
It was a highly “opinionated” online meeting yesterday with AFL fanaticism voiced strongly. We thoroughly enjoyed Graeme Jacobs sharing of his football premiership stories. Especially as we were all on mute thank goodness!

Ask yourself why you haven’t booked yourself, partner and friends to this lunch event which is our major fundraiser! Come on Rotary Hawthorners – please don’t let our Club down!
