Today's speaker, Mike Dorahy, gave us a most fascinating expose on Australian and American adventurers in the mid to late 19th Century. For many, I am sure, the account of Burke and Wills would have been a more comprehensive view on these intrepid explorers. Those who came to Australia as adults will have walked away with a much greater understanding of the extraordinary exploration, the hardship and the risk that Burke and Wills took. Mike's fascinating account of Lewis and Clark's trek across the American Continent was an eye opener too and total absorbing. Thank you Mike.
