Today we had 35 in attendance at our weekly meeting.

Norman Cramp from the Darwin Military Museum was our guest speaker today. It was so pleasant to sit back and listen to Norman’s account of what he feels is ‘Australia’s best kept secret’ being Darwin and its crucial role it played in the Second World War.

The Defence of Darwin

Norman Cramp, the Darwin Military Museum Director, told us about the attacks on Darwin during the Second World War.

He described the attacks between 1942 and 1945 as “Australia’s best kept secret”, as this important piece of history is not taught in schools today.

Rotary in Harmony – Jazz

HAVE A WEE DRAM

The Whisky D.R.A.M. fellowship (or Whisky Drinking Rotarians and Members) was started in 2015 to allow Rotarians a Whisky Appreciation Fellowship.

It was was officially sanctioned by Rotary International in August 2016.
