Dr Pyae Phyo Aung
‘The Dream Comes True, The Journey Begins’

Dr. Pyae Phyo Aung is the current scholar from Myanmar sponsored by the Rotary Foundation executed through the Rotary District 9800 Inc., the Rotary Club of Melbourne Inc., the Rotary Club of Camberwell Inc. and the Baker Foundation. He is now studying Master of Public Health (MPH) degree program at the University of Melbourne for the academic year 2014-2015.

He is a public health professional who has worked in many non-profit organizations including International NGOs and United Nations Agency in Myanmar over 5 years. He has quite a lot of experience on managing public health programs including Maternal and Child Health, HI, TB & Malaria, Reproductive Health and Health System Strengthening.

One of his dreams in life is to study abroad for his master degree in Australia. Now his dream is coming true.

Upon the return from Australia after his MPH study, he will be going to address the health and development needs of the community.

Now he is in the beginning stage of this journey to be fully committed to serve as an advanced public health service provider to the communities in providing the essential services for maternal and child health, HIV, TB &Malaria, other communicable and non-communicable disease and emerging diseases.

Additionally he will be one of the public health experts in the country who can give inputs for formulating more effective public health projects and programs to uplift the health and development status of the people in his own country for the long run.
